Locanda del Teatro, Montefalco

Sunday is our day when we usually go off into the country for some type of exploration, usually around wine. There are so many wineries in Umbria that we could spend years on this search and never come to an end.

Sunday we tried to visit two wineries that were closed because of the holiday, April 25th, the day that Rome was liberated in World War II.

Nancy directed us to a fantastic restaurant in Montefalco, the Locanda del Teatro. Here are two of our dishes.

Gary had risotto with red cabbage puree with pancetta and asparagus.

Luther had guinea hen.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
